Region: Moscow Project author: Vitaly Kozin Briefly about the author: I began practicing Sahaja Yoga meditation in 2003. I graduated from the vocal department (2002) and completed an assistantship/internship (2005) at the P.I. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine (Kyiv Conservatory), studying under Professor N.K. Kondratyuk, People's Artist of the USSR. Thanks to the awakening of my inner Kundalini energy, using the Sahaja Yoga method, I opened my upper tenor register, and I transitioned to a tenor repertoire. Awakening this energy is available to everyone. I highly recommend it! This has been proven by my nearly twenty years of joyful experience. This transition was, to put it mildly, a complete surprise for me. A pleasant surprise, of course, but, as we all understand, it required not only a restructuring of my vocal apparatus but also a complete rethinking of my ideas about both creativity and life. About the project: My repertoire in the tenor register includes: Calaf in Turandot, Rodolfo in La Bohème, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly by Puccini; Don José in Carmen by Bizet; Radames in Aida, Richard in Un Ballo in Maschera, Alfredo in La Traviata, Charles VII in Joan of Arc by Verdi; Hermann in The Queen of Spades, Vaudemont in Iolanta by Tchaikovsky; Eric in The Flying Dutchman by Wagner; Andrei Khovansky in Khovanshchina by Mussorgsky, etc. As we can see, the author was fortunate enough to experience the psychophysics of both tenor and baritone characters firsthand. Over time, somehow miraculously, the thoughts and feelings that troubled my soul, in an attempt to understand the work I've been pursuing with love and devotion for a quarter of a century, found expression in the pages of "A Tenor's Reflections." Although it can only be called a book in part. It's more a collection of reflections, an attempt to comprehend the path I'm following. Useful Links:
